A Special School

The Cambridge School is a special school because of a unique combination of factors:

  • Qualified and dedicated faculty: most teachers highly experienced in the ‘IGCSE’ and ‘A’ Level formats.
  • Low Teacher:Student ratio, not over 1:20, ensuring higher attention and rapport.
  • Policy concerning private tuition…our teachers cannot give paid private tuitions to any student of the school; no private tuition is required because our system builds in sufficient teacher-student interactions both inside and outside classrooms; low Teacher:Student ratio as well as regular inschool tutorials supplement classroom teaching and learning.
  • Emphasis is on practical application of theoretical knowledge and students learn by doing or experience and use what they learn…making tea, holding a mirror or a bowl of water helps a child realises that Science is not just limited to pages of textbooks but is a part of everyday life.
  • Early training in the Cambridge way at Junior and Middle levels will develop in the child:
  • Mathematical and Logical reasoning
  • Reading and Writing skills
  • Physical co-ordination
  • Leadership qualities
  • Communication and Comprehension skills
  • Imaginative and Analytical thinking
  • Literary and Poetic expression
  • Empathy
  • Interpersonal skills
  • Independent thinking skills
  • No student is regimented or indoctrinated in any way; the environment is disciplined, supervised-liberal with freedom for individual choices; we do not prescribe, for example, any specific school uniform but we do counsel good taste and simple elegance as a general guideline.
  • Commitment to help develop the complete personality of every student…offer them both roots and wings. Inbuilt physical facilities and services (see Cocurricular activities) enable the school to actualise its aims.
